Porcelain Angels is the second self released album by Superfun. Released on-line on February 29, 2024.

Recording

"Porcelain Angels is what I consider to be the first real Superfun project. It's the first with Brent on drums and not just me doing everything. Recording for this album was a total nightmare. I started demoing songs out on my own in September of 2023. Since I didn't have to worry about school and I was unemployed I was able to do a similar process to what I did for Pink Machine, but over the course of about half a month instead. After that, I did end up getting a job and the rest of the recording went from November to the end of February of 2024, just a little over a week before the album's release. Since Superfun didn't have a permanent bassist yet, I asked my friend William Ayrey to record bass. Since Will lives in New Zealand, his parts had to be recorded at home in his free time, so, after me and Brent finished recording, there was a period from December 2023 to late February 2024 where we were waiting for bass tracks. Because of this, the mix ended up being rushed, which I think killed any chances the album had of getting anywhere. I ended up releasing a revised mix later in the year. I don't blame Will for the mix sounding bad, the drums were recorded in this really awful way with only three mics, and it took a lot of wrestling in my mix to get them to sound good. Will has more of a Steve Albini approach, which doesn't work when you have to try to polish turds." -Jaiden May
